American Racing Rims Lead A Heritage Of Street Racing

They offered innovative creations that included the Americans, 5 Spokes and Torq Thrusts. The Torq Thrust is now considered a classic design with its stylish, tapered, parabolic spoke that is both lightweight and comes with an advanced braking cooling system.

This classic became the model for performance and custom wheel and rim enthusiasts. Being one of the most famous wheels, it made an appearance in the 2005 issue of Hot Rod Magazine and is considered one of the vehicle parts that revolutionized the car industry. American Racing Wheels and American Racing Rims were introduced again in 2002 with its new DuPont and Teflon coated wheels which was the outgrowth of two years of exclusive partnering with the DuPont company. The wheels were designed to be resistant to brake dust and were tested in demanding NASCAR-like conditions. They are also easy to clean and are considered another step forward in the progression of wheel technology.

1700+ employees currently work in the manufacturing and distribution section of American Racing Equipment company. They carry on the vision of their founder, Romeo Palimedes who felt that attention to detail and excellence in craftsmanship would make precision alloy wheels that dominated the industry. With state-of-the-art facilities, they have produced over 3 million dollars in wheels as of 2001.
