I have a 1980 Trans Am 4.9L, I want to know if I can put in a 350?

Hi Guys, I have a 1980 Trans Am with a 4.9L (301, non turbo) engine with original 3 speed transmission. I am not feeling this engine as it is not very powerful, I was looking at a 350 engine for sale of Kijiji and was wondering if this would fit in my car without having to switch out the transmission.. what kind of changes would I have to make on the car to use a 350? 455 pontiac all the way, these are known to me as ‘amercing blocks’
and aren’t the same size as the gm motors(350) i had the turbo trans am, had it rebuilt to higher Performance, and it rocked. im sure the 455 would too
