is it a bad idea to plan to buy a 2 year old car in 2 years?
i really want the new accord but i can’t afford it yet but in 2010 i will have enough money to put a big down payment and since i’m just going to start with a credit card i can make sure i have the absolute best credit that i can have at that time.
I mean alot of people drive older cars and they work good, and i really really like the new accord sedan
However i know it will be a used car when i get it but can i still get the accessories that i want on it or do i have to settle for whatever the dealer can get since its used?
also for 2010 what kind of mileage should i be expecting on the car? i’ve heard that 15000 is average per year so around 45000?

Yes, mileage matters, 15,000 is considered the max end of yearly miles, try to stay around 10,000-12,000 miles a year, so at that time less than 36,000 would make the car still worth a decent amount. The great thing about Accords is they retain their value very well and run forever. Try to get it from a very reputable company like Carmax to make sure it hasn’t been in a wreck and doesn’t have any serious problems and you should be fine. Just be aware that Hondas don’t lose their value quickly so for a 3 yr old car you may still find yourself paying only a few thousand off the original price.
