Mobile Phone insurance am i covered?
Hiya guys basically popped into halfords today and brought a brand new handsfree kit for my car of which i had my phone out making sure its compatable ect. Anyway brought the handsfree kit and my phone was in the same bag left halfords continued around town got back to the car and found out i no longer had the halfords bag ….. Not sure if i left it somewere or what happened. I have got insurance with policy admin services which also covers me for accessories up to £500 per claim but does state the following
Theft of the mobile device and accessories from any unattended building or premises, unless evidenced damage was caused in
gaining entry to, or exit from, the building or premises
• Theft where the mobile device and accessories have been left negligently or deliberately in a public place or a place to which
others have access
Would you say im still covered or not also would i be covered for the handsfree kit as it is an acessorie for my phone. Thankyou
i would say no as the phone has been lost. i think that it is saying that you are covered for theft but not for loss. the same goes for the handsfree kit im afraid.
if you have personal belongings cover on your home insurance then that would cover you for both.
