how to reactive radio (after battery out) on 1994 honda civic del sol, please?
i should have given more detail sorry – i have the 5 digit code; handwritten instructions from dealer in book says – ignition on accessory or tstarted, car radio on, (word CODE comes up in window) 5 digit code ENTER, wait (how long?) then below that instructions gives 1st 3 digits again 2, 5, 4 i have tried instructions more than 10 times with and without the 2,5,4 – i have waited from seconds to more than a minute after entering 5 digits as instructions suggest The word ENTER is written after 5 digit # but i don’t see any ENTER key to push – is maybe just part of verbal instruction nearest dealer is 45 miles away; i’d sure love to be listening to Christmas music – i have tried 3 local mechanics so far
This is a tricky one. Let me see if I can help. As far as I remember if you entered the code WRONG 3 times the radio would lock for I think an hour. There is no enter button I think you had to push the “band” button. Your local dealer can help you, or maybe do a search for the correct instructions. Once you have those as long as the code that you have is correct you’ll be fine. If the code is not correct, you’ll have to remove the radio and retrieve the serial number. Once you have the serial number your dealer can use that to get the code.
