Didn’t get the car I was promised…do I have any recourse?
I recently bought a new car. When I went to pick it up, it did not have keyless entry as it was supposed to. (Originally they had picked one out for me that did, but it turned out to be sold…so the salesperson picked out a new one, but apparently he didn’t look closely enough at the new car’s specs.) The salesperson said it could be added. They added it (though it’s not the same brand as the car…basically anything an accessory place could add), but I found out after the fact (after taking possession of the car) that they were unable to hook up keyless entry to the trunk because it wasn’t wired for that. So, in essence I was supposed to receive a car with keyless entry, and did not. Other than the salesperson’s notes and the MANY conversations we had about it, there’s probably nothing that officially documents that. But he promised to get me keyless entry and now he can’t live up to that. Do I have any legal leverage to make them give me a different car?

This kind of happened to me several years ago. I wrote a nice but firm note to the manager of the car lot, and they took care of my concerns.
You should do the same thing before it’s gone on too long. The sooner the better on a change you are wanting… You had requirements, if they cannot fulfill them then they did not do their part of the contract.
