Did my dealership rip me off, by replacing my alternator and battery when it wasn’t needed?
My car lost all power to the interior accessories and the battery light was on. I towed it in – the garage told me they found no power to the battery or alternator – recommended replacing both… so I did. One month later, the exact same thing happened to my car – all interior accessories shut off and the car died completely with the battery light on. The garage assessed the car again, and now say that it’s completely different parts that have caused the problem. They recommend to replace the battery fuse panel and power wire to the alternator. How can the same problem happen one month later with different parts being the reason? And doesn’t an alternator come with a power wire…so shouldn’t that have been covered under a warranty of a new part? Does a battery fuse panel need replacing? It seems to me as though they first replaced the wrong parts completely, putting in a new battery and alternator when it was just a wire and fuse to begin with. What does anyone else think????
I think yes…coz ur battery is discharging bcoz of some shortcircuit…try to replace te wiring system..or check the fuse box..u should not have make them replace the batteries n alternator…
u certainly have some shortcircuit problem…thats why the current supply dosnt make work the interior accessoriees…And yes..they should have checked the wiring before…if this replacement was done by showroom..u have a right tomake the work done for FREE this time…best of luck…
