what should i do tomorrow while i am looking for a job?
im 16 and i had a job over the summer (employed through the county summer works program) but i need one so i can save up and get a new guitar, amp, pedals and accessories and then to save up for a car i will be going to the 3 small bunched together towns (phelps (current town), clifton springs, and manchester NY google or yahoo maps if you want to see how small and close together they are) to look for a job and i really wont have any standards when it comes to the job
and im probably going to wear my hendrix shirt regular jeans and my new hoody for the first time (its not that warm here) because i don’t own anything very nice
so anything else i should do
Write a resume and hand it in with your application.
Speak with good grammar and be respectful to the current employees.
When you go in ask for an application. Fill it out with the pen you will bring in (don’t ask for one, it’s very annoying) while still there, and then ask to speak to a manager to hand it in. Introduce yourself to the manager, shake his or her hand, and hand then your application with your resume on top. Thank them for their time.
Call every place you went to 24 hours later to check on your application (ask for a manager). Some people say this is “bothering” but this is how I always get the job.
