2000 Audi A4 ignition wire have no power?
the black wire on the ignition harness does not show 12 volts when I turn the ignition to the ON position. I was wondering if there’s a fuse for the ignition wire. the car does not start. there’s power on the accessory wire, there are power on both the red wire on the ignition harness. also there’s power coming out the starter wire but no power on the ignition wire. i was wondering if anyone knows if there’s another fuse box somewhere in the car besides the one that’s on the driver kick panel.

Hi Jonathan. Just checked the wiring diagram in my workshop manual, and the ignition supply is Red/White, no in line fuse. I am working from the UK (European) manual and your colour coding may be different in the States. As Gary says, the black wire is probably ground (Earth as we call it here). You might hot wire it straight to the battery to make it mobile, but get it to your Audi dealer ASAP. Again as Gary says, there are many possibilities for ignition failure, so get it checked out.
